The following is a testimonial from Jeff Ebert who is a Navdha President in Michigan:
A big shout out to Greg Mauk and his dogs at Emmas Brittanys. Not sure what hes feeding but it must be good. I own 2 dogs from his britts Abby and Texas and my orange britt is from his dog Izzy and my dog Rebel. The 4th dog, Simon is owned by a friend Mark Jackson.
First, a perspective, These dogs are registered with the Navhda organization. To keep the story short, just know that Navhda is huge and they test thousands of dogs every year for their hunting ability. It includes all the Versatile breeds across North America. The first level testing is Natural Ability. At this level about 50% of dogs pass and 20% earn a prize 1. The advanced level is the Utility test. About 3% of dogs earn a prize 1 at this level. These prize 1 dogs also qualify for Navhdas Internatonal invitational. At this level only 25 to 30 dogs pass the test and are awarded Versatlie Champion titles. In the history of Navhda, less than 30 Brittanys have been crowned Versatile Champion.
So with the summer testing winding down, here is the results:
Halo and Simon were a year old in June and both earned a Prize 1 at Natural ability.
Phoenix was just over 2 years in August she is also a Prize 1 in Natural ability and has now earned a Prize 1 at Utility.
Maverick is now 3 years old he is a Natural ability Prize 1, a 2x Utility Prize 1 and now as of this past weekend a new Navhda Versatile Champion.
These dogs are nothing but top shelf hunting dogs. I couldnt be more proud. |
